Leasing mistake

5 months after signing lease I received from leasing office, I was told I needed to pay more money on rent I selected and repay the monies that they considered late. Leasing manager admits to it being her mistake, but still is forcing me to pay those amounts. Leasing manager also questioned my budget and what it could and could not with stand. Been a resident for over 20 years and never missed a rent payment.

Dishonest and poor management

When we moved in, they did a horrible job of preparing the apartment for us. They got paint all over the dining room floor while repainting. The stove was so old, it no longer worked. The fridge was old and had broken parts inside that they later tried to just poorly glue back together. We had to push for them to replace both. The cabinets were covered in a layer of what I assume is cooking oil splatter. I spent a long time scrubbing it clean. They never addressed concerns we had about missing ...
packages (a huge $400 package went missing which was a stroller for our child) or major noise concerns (middle of the night car alarms that woke everyone in the complex up and required police to be called). When we were moving out, they told us they would be able to refund half our rent if we moved out halfway through the month. When we rushed to move out, they suddenly said they would not be refunding us. Claimed they were mistaken about their policy. They then stopped responding to our emails. They are either incredibly dishonest or just really horrible at their jobs. Do not trust. Go elsewhere. Shady business. Not worth the headache.
