Renters Reviews and Ratings
Number of times the apartment has flooded: 4
August 10, 2018After being blamed for clogging the kitchen sink, it was finally revealed that our unit, like many others in the complex, shares old, narrow pipes with 4 other units, and so we get all of the backflow. Our unit has flooded on multiple occasions. Most recently, this occurred on a weekday at 5:30 pm, so there was no leasing office staff to be found. A call to the emergency line was returned two hours later, and maintenance refused to come out (flooding throughout the unit was not considered ...enough of an emergency). It was only at 1:00 am, when it flooded even more and we called once again that they came--at 3:00 am. They asked for permission to come back "first thing in the morning." Well, at 11:30 am, when the flooding went from the kitchen, through the living room, and into the bathroom, I called once again and then they finally arrived. Here we are days later and the house smells like rotten eggs and feet, there is dirty equipment laying about, and a large chunk of carpet padding has been cut out and not replaced. There has been no follow up as to when this will be taken care of. My calls remain unreturned. See pictures. Number of times you'll hear gun shots: too many to count Beware that 89119 is a high crime zip code. And this apartment complex no longer has security guards on property--despite promising 24/7 security. All that remains is poor lighting and a broken gate which, if it is ever closed, is only at night and only sometimes works. Our bikes, which were locked up outside on a bike rack by the mailboxes, were each stolen. Additional notes of caution/warnings: -the unit constantly smells like weed -the leasing office is rarely open (limited hours plus they all take lunches together, so there's no hope of getting access to the office anywhere near lunchtime) -the leasing office rarely follows up (see first paragraph for vivid example) -if you make the mistake of leasing here, be sure to read your contract thoroughly. The office tried to hold us to requirements that we did not agree to (such as buying a ridiculously high renter's insurance policy). Bottom line: look for other places. I previously lived in a complex in the same zip code and paid significantly less than what I pay at 1550, yet I never experienced these problems.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
I would never move here again
May 1, 2017Let me start by saying the management is AWFUL they never return calls and matinence requests only get partially finished. I have had an issue in my home since march of 2016 that was partially fixed but still is a problem they refuse to come back out. They fixed a wall for me 3 months ago and have yet to come to paint it nor did they even bother to clean up the mess they made. I have also heard the manager yell at a woman to control her kids (only one was hers) and when she said what my kids cant ...play outside he said its in your lease read your lease. Do yourself a huge favor and save yourself from these incompetent people who cannot even call you back over pressing matters. THEY ARE THE WORST!!!!Property Manager Responded
June 2, 2017We're disappointed to see that your experience in our community has resulted in a one-star rating. Our staff cares deeply about our residents, and we're always looking for ways to improve our practices, as well as the lives of our residents. If you have any questions or suggestions about how we can make your stay with us more comfortable, please stop by our office to let us know, thank you.

Avoid this place like your life depended on it!!!
August 23, 2016Supposed to have been a newly renovated apartment, more like a facelift with all the underlying issues still existent. They rent to all sorts of riff raff, never a day that I don't come home to a "green" smelling apartment. Plumbing doesn't work properly, have never used the dishwasher because it backs up all the sinks in the unit. When you run the water in the kitchen sink it backs into the dishwasher and doesn't drain, my dishwasher smells like rotting food. Put in many maintenance request ...but still left unanswered. Rent is cheap but so is the staff and the grounds crew!!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
