Nightmare Experience: by No AC for a Week and Unprofessional Maintenance

Living here used to be okay, with an average rating of 3 stars. But now, it's a nightmare. Our AC has been out for a week in the scorching Texas heat, and it's still not fixed, our pets are suffering, and we're stuck in one room with a portable AC just to survive.
When we asked when it would be fixed, they said it would take longer than expected, but couldn't give us a timeframe. I asked if they checked other vacant units for a temporary fix, and they said “they should have”, but my AC is still ...
broken. It seems like they don't care.
The maintenance person is terrible too. He screams at me from across the complex instead of being respectful. I hate that he can't talk to me nicely and in a correct manner about the AC problem.
Unless you want to deal with a broken AC for over a week and rude maintenance people, don't live here. They don't care about their tenants.

My daughter and I have been living at King's Cove for about a year. It has been wonderful. The scenery is breath-taking and it is so peaceful here. You hardly hear any noise outside. Its not far from the Lake, so at times we walk down to the water which takes about 10 minutes. The staff are super professional, courteous and vibrant. Nice location on the back of Kingwood. Poor cellular reception and poor maintenance.
I had a poor experience recently renting here. They gave me generous concessions as incentive to move in - 2500. After 3 months I had a life experience requiring me to break my lease and move out. The formerly super-nice representatives only available response was to demand 7,500.
I am more than willing to pay a fair amount plus a penalty but 3X rent due plus penalty is not reasonable. Yes I broke a lease, but we ...
all need to show some decency. Avoid these people.

I am in love with my new apartment. About 4 months ago, I was in search of a one bed room apartment in a safe neighborhood in northern Houston. Kingscove is in the beautiful neighborhood of Kingwood. Expensive area, yes, but it is well worth the safety and scenery. The apartment is gated as well. I love that Kingscove has the "penthouse" option, which is third floor, the cheapest floor, but it is much like the first floor in design. (Just a foot less in ceiling height and wood looking laminate ...
instead of the stained concrete.) The magnolia floorplan is roomier than I expected, because they utilize the space so efficiently. I am in love with my apartment.
