Excellent I’ve lived here for over a year and it’s lovely and mostly quiet. The couple of times I’ve needed something fixed, they get it done, like, immediately. Maybe the best responsiveness of any management ever.

Nice Place to Live

I’ve lived here for almost three years and I still love it. I appreciate the amenities of both the building and in unit, as well as the square footage of the living space. Other apartment buildings will try to nickel and dime you for 500sq ft. I live in a corner unit on the top floor, in the non pet building, so I can’t speak for my downstairs or nextdoor neighbors, or the ones in the pet building, but the only time I’ve noticed thin walls is while walking through the hallway to my unit. example, once I heard my neighbor blasting music while walking in the hallway, when I went inside my unit I couldn’t hear it. I don’t mind the fan in the bathroom either. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, not many businesses nearby except the VA hospital and credit union. I can’t hear the train from right outside either. The area is walkable and unwalkable at the same time; being next to a hospital parking lot, train, and busy highway intersection, at the same time next to Minnehaha falls and lake nokomis. I grew up in Hamline Midway of Saint Paul and so I noticed this area isn’t as communal as the one I came from, but neighbors are still willing to help if you need a hand.

Horrible

Dirty upon move in. Nosy and unpleasant management. No parking, loud stomping above, loud music at night coming from both sides, dirty elevators, thin walls, smell of urine everywhere! Windows open 5 inches, fan in bathroom blares when light is on. Just all around bad. All this for high rent. Do research prior and if you want problems, by all means move here.

Do not move here

Management fails to address issues. Expensive for no reason. Flooring has almost no sound proofing. I can hear dogs barking below me ALL THE TIME and my upstairs neighbor stomping around all of the time.

I live in Oaks Minnehaha for about 6 months now. What I like the most about living here is the quiet neighborhood - walking feels much more safe compared to when I used to live in Downtown. Unit is much bigger for the same price to the apartments in Downtown. Walkable distance to train station. What I dislike the most here is the management. I had several problems with unit after we moved in and never even get an email response to my claim. Lost a package already in the 'mail room', never got a ...
help. About unit, walls, floors, ceiling feels thinner compared to the other apartment we used to live in, therefore we hear neighbors steps and talking. Lots of people park in front of building (Oaks Minnehaha) so driving in and out of the garage is stressful. In the unit, there is no option to turn off the fan in the bathroom and hallway. When the bathroom light is on, fan is on, too. I found this a little annoying. Apparently some people do not pick up after their dog and it's been an issue here.
