My wife and I lived at this location back when it was Country Villa Apartments. It was a nice place, affordable, had all the utilities included. Yeah, there was the occasional problem. They shut off the water once a month for maintenance and they were a little slow to take care of problems. But the people were friendly and professional.
Then they got bought up by some larger company and everything collapsed after that. When the oven went out, it took them a week to replace it, and it was ...
literally infested with roaches. They hemmed and hawed for another month after to take care of it, and we ended up giving up and had to attempt to take care of it ourselves.
At the end, they were really odd about the last bit of rent we were paying. I kept insisting that when we started that lease it couldn't be for the whole year like before. We were moving out in October, we couldn't pay it. Eventually they relented and I thought we squared it all away. We turn in our keys at the last day and double check to make sure everything was good and there was nothing else to worry about.
Cut to January. I've been waiting for my deposit back. I get fed up and call the apartments. They tell me that not only do I not get the deposit, but I somehow owe them $2000 more in rent. I was never informed of this at any point. And it was horrifyingly frustrating. I was in no position to pay that at the time. The debt collection agency they handed it off to was more understanding than the apartments were. It sounds like it's only gotten worse since then. Do not recommend.
