Great deal but there are some major drawbacks

So the rent is cheap, like insanely cheap and you are 3 blocks from the metro. The apartment is very walkable to grocery stores, public transit, libraries and gyms. Now the not so good. The building is old and not well kept up. Prepare for things that are broken and a management company that would rather slap another coat of paint over the bathroom mold than address the inadequate ventilation. Also there is very little sound insulation between floors. You will hear everyone above you. Congrats ...

if you have the top floor unit, but prepare to wear earplugs if you don't. Despite all that, the good out weighs the bad for me and I have lived here for over 3 years. Namely the price is right and I have made it a home.

A great apartment for post-grad life

Living at 1125 N Randolph Street is by no means glamorous, but for the price and location, it can't be beat. Right off of Fairfax Street in the center of Ballston, these apartments are perfect for someone like me, a post-grad just trying to make ends meet! I share the apartment with one roommate, and we have more than enough space, about 1000 square feet total. Sharing a bathroom can be a bit of a hassle at times, but it's nothing we can't deal with. Appliances in the kitchen are dated, but ...

seeing as neither of us are huge cooks, we're more than pleased with what we have, especially the fact that we have a dishwasher! One parking space and water are included with rent, and there is no fee for cats, which is great! We are a quick 5 minute walk to the Ballston metro, which is super easy and convenient. Overall I am pleased with the apartment, mainly for the location and price.
