Flood Issues During Harvey

Be aware that the first floor flooded during Harvey and that's the 2nd time in 2 years flooding has affected the complex. First floor residents were not all moved to alternative apts; some were told they would have to wait months and were forced to live with family/friends because they were not allowed to break their lease. They were still being charged for apts that were flooded and unlivable. Additionally, the manager of this complex is one of the rudest people I know. She has a crazy temper ...

and blames her residents for errors made by the valet trash people, the online rent system, etc. She also increases rent on renewed leases every year, so whatever price you come into the complex with will be the lowest amount you ever pay. We have also had issues with theft, since the gates are never fixed. Recently, a lady's SUV had all 4 tires stolen and was left on blocks, my neighbor's apt was broken into, and my own package was stolen by someone from the office. I do not recommend this apt complex.

I'm incredibly disappointed in how the Raveneaux staff handles and conducts business. I'm a previous resident, and in my opinion cottonwood has completely ruined the way this place was run. The old staff got things done, when you needed them, promptly, and with a smile. I was relying on them for a rental verification and had to wait over a week for them to figure things out. They first tried to tell me that I had the wrong fax number, to then inform me their fax was broken. So they gave me an ...

email, WHICH THEN BOUNCED BACK. I called their office back to try and get answers bc my move in date is approaching and my apartment was STILL waiting on them, and no one answered any of my calls or returned any of the messages I left. When I finally got through the NEXT day, their Asst manager tried to act as if I was a huge inconvenience and she would do it when she had the time. I even had to call back AGAIN after waiting 3 hours and her telling me she would do it in 10 minutes. All in all, it's not hard to be a decent person and keep your word. I'm highly disappointed in the way the entire situation was handled.

I have lived in Raveneaux since May of 2016, and have loved every moment of it! The community is quiet, serene and peaceful. The apartments (I have lived in two different floor plans due to changes in need) are very spacious and comfortable. I love the attached garage, such a nice feature on a rainy Houston day. I really appreciate they have full size washer and dryer connections as well, I owned my own (still fairly new) and saw no need to rent an apartment which charges more but "includes" full ...

One Unfortunate Event Ruined It

My husband and I moved in to a 1 bedroom 'A' floor plan apartment on the third floor back in August 2014. We loved calling the Raveneaux our home. We loved how quiet and safe it WAS for us. Everything was great until a recent disturbance. We moved out, June 2016, due to a break-in that occurred to us. The burglary was strategically plotted. My husband was home all day long, and as soon as he stepped out, they broke in, right before I got home from work. It made us think it was a neighbor that had ...

been watching our work schedules and cars we drive. It could have been a random break in, but the clues say otherwise. The thing that made us move out was not the break in itself. But how residents were not notified about the break in. Not to mention, another resident got broken into in November 2015 (2 buildings down from us-3rd floor apt.) and residents were not notified about it either. 6 months in between the two break ins and it left us wondering "how many other break ins happened in between that we didn't know about?" Since I am an expectant mother, I did not feel safe living there any longer especially with my baby coming in August. We moved out that same week. Again, it wasn't until this occurrence that the Raveneaux failed us by not notifying residents about break ins. Different management during both break ins, but same outcome of events.

I've been living here for about four months and I love it! Office staff is very friendly and responds to maintenance requests fast! Neighbors are friendly and I love how pet friendly the apartments are. Worth every penny!!! Definitely made the right decision to move here!

The most important aspect of Raveneaux is that I feel safe. The office staff is helpful and the maintenance team works hard. I also enjoy the walk way surrounded by trees, this is a unique outdoor setting for an apartment complex. The area is in a good location, close to many restaurants and shops.
