It's Nice To Be Here

Once upon a time, the way many pleasant stories begin, while passing the Somerset Place entrance; cheerful-colored flags were flying above a sign which read “Leasing Now”. As I explored on down the lane, another sign read “Welcome Home”.
For the next five years, each time I’ve driven down that pretty, peaceful lane (sometimes adorned with ducks from the pond) on the way to my apartment, I know to expect a quiet, peaceful, private, laid-back atmosphere with that Welcome Home feeling. Often times ...
I’m greeted by one of the many sweet dogs while it’s taking another resident for a walk.
Of course, there are occasional, less pleasant times such as necessary repairs, and for the entire same five years, these times have been met with kindness and efficiency by the Maintenance Staff.
At other times, for whatever reason I visit the Leasing Office, I’m greeted with a smile in that Welcome Home atmosphere by the office staff and made to feel that I’m their only, or most important resident.
Many times I’ve thought of how appropriate it would be if a resident might add alongside the “Welcome Home” sign, another sign which reads “Thank You, It’s Nice To Be Here!”.
