Just a couple of weeks in and couldn’t be happier. Responsive property manager, easy self guided tour. Friendly and quiet neighbors. Great bars and restaurants nearby. Bonus Toast and Roast has the best breakfast burritos and right next store. It’s city life but the 24 hour surveillance makes me feel safe. I had somethings that needed assessing in my unit. Resolved in less than 24 hours thanks to Tony. Harrison helped my friend can get access when I was out of town and expecting a big delivery. ...
It’s easy living and my newly renovated unit is beautiful.

new owners so management might be better, but don't move here

was one of the first people to move in here. had 2 br on 2nd floor. upstairs neighbor was quiet. things were fine. moved to 1 br on 4th floor... it was a nightmare. the insulation and noise reduction products are non-existent. upstairs neighbor constantly stomped when heard noise from me or the apt above him. I didn't realize how bad things were until my quiet downstairs neighbor sneezed and it was so loud that I thought he was in my bedroom. I had to move, my health was so greatly affected. also ...
the water/sewer and electric bills are on one bill and it is divided up amongst all renters and the building. this increased every month and by. the time I moved it was outrageous. new owners now, and they may be more receptive but they can't fix the noise problem. for your own sanity don't move here. sorry new owners but I don't want others to suffer like I did.

16 Penn Apartments has been a great home for me. Julie was super helpful on tour and gave me exactly what I was looking for. The location is great and the apartments are nicely renovated. I'm very excited about the new renovations that will be coming this fall. I will be recommending these apartments and the team to my friends and family.

Great Vibe

As a person over 55, I feel I am "in between" Too old to be young and too young to be old! I love that some of the apartments at 16 Penn can be rented to those under 55 because having younger people around helps me feel young too. This apartment community is very well run with attentive management and fun social activities too. Great location to walk to dinner, or to the fun boutiques and stores nearby. Top marks.

Watch Out Bad Place
August 26, 2019
Not a true 55+! They cant lease it up so now they are now letting under 55 in! Noisy if you live on a lower floor it sounds like the upstairs neighbor is going to fall through the floor. Should be zero stars! Security non existent. Homeless in all parts of the building, always in the main entry way. The urinate right by the front door! You can do much better for a better price at other communities that are minutes away. Notice the trend , after every bad review there are 3 good reviews ...
that show up....hmmmm.

Amazing Property

For starters, 16 Penn is not for everyone, meaning you or one of the residents with whom you reside must be 55 years of age. This was one of the biggest draws for me. I may sound like a curmudgeon, but where I currently live, the residents aren't respectful of their neighbors. Their dogs bark constantly, they leave dog waste all over the property, they leave trash out in the common areas and hallways, and park wherever they want. 16 Penn has none of that. The residents are so respectful of each ...
other. The common areas are nice. You have 24/7 secure package pick-up. The parking area is gated as is the property. Elanna B., Property Manager, was so nice, knowledgeable and respectful. As she was giving us a tour of the property, she was also giving us some background on the company's owners. You could tell she was proud of both the company as well as the community. As for the two-bedroom, it was amazing! Huge open spaces, lots of windows, and a big balcony. Granted, the view is of the city, but it was nice. 16 Penn ranked high first on the "move-in list" for the longest time, but we opted for a property that had a slightly bigger floor plan. But trust me. If you are looking on behalf of yourself or a loved one who is 55 , please go look at 16 Penn. You won't be disappointed.

Pleasant, New, Convenient and Smoke-free

This new place is.a good choice that is getting better as resident's input and feedback is implemented. The social and physical opportunities expand. Yoga and Tai - chi classes are provided as are open houses and resident get togethers. The owner attends and welcomes our thoughts. This place is new and open to and responsive to the residents. This is a chance to create the inclusive environment we want.
