I am actually a current resident here, and i hope you find this helpful. My lease is not up until may and I cannot wait to get out of here. There are SEVERAL car break ins, in which I am a victim of. And there is nothing being done about it. The “security” is terrible, they do absolutely nothing. And to top it all off the leasing office lets you do nothing to protect yourself. You cant own cameras or anything.

Me and my family got stationed here last year and I picked Village at Westmeadow mostly because of the location to base. I love it here, I couldn't be happier. The office staff has helped me so much since move in and the Maintenance team is my favorite, they fixed all my work orders so quickly. If you are scared of birds you might want to live somewhere else as for like 4 months there are birds everyone and nesting everywhere. I have lived at this complex for little over a year and at first loved the location and amenities until problems started to arise. I do not know why they consider themselves "family friendly" when every weekend in the summer is like a frat party by the pool with inappropriate residents getting belligerent. Also, people speed throughout the parking lot constantly, including the maintenance staff. And don't be fooled by the limitations placed on dog breeds, currently there are full blooded Pit ...

Bull's,Rottweiler's and Doberman Pincher's living at this complex and some are very aggressive. I have also dealt with Colorado Springs Police Department more times than I can count for things like domestic violence (neighbors), someone discharging their firearm in the parking lot and having vehicles broken into. In fact, vehicles getting broken into or vandalized is actually really common, yet management won't do much and you have to beg them to send out an email to warn other residents. I chose this complex based on the reviews and I just want to make sure no one makes that mistake again. If you like the feel of what living on a college campus is like, with large parties every weekend and crazy things happening, then this is the apartment complex for you.

We appreciate your feedback and are very disappointed on the experience you feel you have had. Please know that we strive to keep our community up to date on any news that comes our way. We send out several emails reminding everyone through out the year to be their own advocate when it comes to their safety and the safety of their belongings. We remind everyone to lock their car doors and never leave anything of value in their cars, as crime doesn't have a zip code and can happen anywhere. Also, we do have breed restrictions on property but by law we are unable to enforce those restrictions on Service / ESA Animals. When I first moved into my apartment I was very excited. The staff was really nice and the residents seemed nice as well. So far so good. People aren't as friendly as I though but no one has been mean. The staff isn't all that welcoming anymore, maybe they were only nice to get me to move in. All in all its a nice place to live but very expensive and I don't think it's worth it. My rent is nearly 1000 a month for a small one bedroom apartment. Alabama and the cost of living there is NOTHIN compared to Colorado. I feel like living here I'm not actually living, I o my make enough to pay the rent and nothing else.
