If you're an Austinite in the mood for Italian food, you can't do much than Romeo's, an Austin original since 1996, and a great place to eat a delicious meal in a beautiful and romantic atmosphere. For a romantic night out, few places do it better. When you think of Romeo's, it's all about the ambiance. The place just drinks romance, from the tinkling live piano, to the candlelight at each of the tables, to the beautiful (and playful) pictures of cherubs adorning the walls, and even grapes adorning the latticed ceiling. If you're looking to make a great impression on a guy or gal, or just looking for the place to take your special someone to celebrate that special occasion, this place is sure to leave an impression. The wait staff is friendly and attentive, but also knows when to leave you alone for private moments. Of course, ambiance can only go so far. After all, this is a restaurant, and at the end of the day, it's all about how good the food is. Romeo has a huge menu of tradition Italian favorites, as well as some fancier offerings for those looking for something a bit different. You'll find your usual fettucine alfredo, spaghetti, ravioli, or lasagna, but you can also find some higher end dishes, such as Shrimp Capulet or Polio Regiannito. Not in the mood for pasta? Not a problem, there's quite a wide range of alternatives, from pizzas, the sandwiches, soups, salads, and even steaks. There's even a Brunch menu for those looking for some delicious grub in the early day. They also have a fine wine list, featuring of fresh delicious red and whites from around the world. If your girlfriend or boyfriend keeps griping at you that you don't spend enough time out of the apartment, then an evening out at Romeo's is just enough to delight and amaze him or her.
