In October, Mardi Gras in the Fall is in full swing. This one-day event is held on the first Saturday, where people are dressed in green, gold and purple, searching for beads to add to their collection. While the grown-ups have their playtime, the kids can get their faces painted or visit the interactive art and craft booths as well as participate in dancing. There are activities for the whole family to enjoy. Every year, at the start of December, there is the Holiday Lighted Parade and Tree Lighting festival. This dazzling celebration brings residents and tourist together as they get prepared to welcome in the holiday season. They will line the streets, as spectacularly lit floats slowly pass by. Later on, the lightening of Coppell’s Christmas tree will take place, while Santa & Mrs. Clause welcomes everybody. Of course, there are all types of games and yummy treats available.

Where are the nearby vacation spots?

About seven miles north of Coppell, you will find the city of Lewisville. You will find multiple attractions for entertainment and suspense, such as the 1 Hour to Escape Rooms, where you or a group must figure out how to get out of a themed room in time by following clues placed throughout the area. Lewisville also has Air Adventures Aloft, which is a company offering fantastic hot air balloon rides. Twenty-one miles away, you have the urban center of Dallas, where you can spend a whole day sightseeing, shopping and eating.
