Write a ReviewLocated in the Northwest suburb of Dallas, Texas is the city of Coppell, with a population of 40,678, according to the 2014 census. Considered a bedroom town, meaning it does not have big places of industry within it. People must commute to work in the neighboring urban areas. You will discover its breathtaking beauty, when you live in apartments in Coppell, Texas.
This place was established in 1840, by foreigners from France and Germany and was named Gibb’s Station. However, in the 1880s, a wealthy Englishman name George Coppell came to this little farming town and provided assistance for the railroad system. In appreciation, the name was changed to his surname.
Coppell has the typical weather of those in the Subtropical region. The climate range is warm to hot during the springtime and summer months. This means the temperature is between the low 40s and middle 90s. In the fall and wintertime the weather is medium cold and rainy, with the degrees ranging between the low 30s and reaching into the 60s.
Called a commuter’s town, you will definitely need a car to get around Coppell. Seventeen miles away in Dallas, you have Amtrak. Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is in proximity of the area, so taking domestic and international flights is convenient. In Coppell, there are excellent neighborhoods, you will love walking around in, while looking at the lovely homes.
There are no major freeways in Coppell, but on the border of the city, you have several roads that service the area, these include State Highway 121, Interstate 635, Interstate 35E, a tollway and the President George Bush Turnpike.

Coppell is a residential area, so it does not really have any major landmark, but less than eight miles away, you have the town of Grapevine. In Grapevine, you have the opportunity to visit their Historical Main Street District. Coppell’s Nature Park offers a variety of outdoor activities including running, hiking and biking trails. Filled with an abundance of lush greenery, wildlife and even fossils, you can go on a guided tour to get detail information about the sights in the park. After all that fun in the park, you might have sore muscles that could use a massage. If so, making it a point to visit High Stone Reflexology should be put on your to-do list. Although the word reflexology is part of the name, the masseuse’s can work on your body from head to toe. It is super affordable and you can walk-in or schedule an appointment for their treatments.
In October, Mardi Gras in the Fall is in full swing. This one-day event is held on the first Saturday, where people are dressed in green, gold and purple, searching for beads to add to their collection. Live entertainment, plenty of delicious food and wholesome revelry fills the day. While the grown-ups have their playtime, the kids can get their faces painted or visit the interactive art and craft booths as well as participate in dancing. There are activities for the whole family to enjoy. Every year, at the start of December, there is the Holiday Lighted Parade and Tree Lighting festival. This dazzling celebration brings residents and tourist together as they get prepared to welcome in the holiday season. They will line the streets, as spectacularly lit floats slowly pass by. Later on, the lightening of Coppell’s Christmas tree will take place, while Santa & Mrs. Clause welcomes everybody. Of course, there are all types of games and yummy treats available.
About seven miles north of Coppell, you will find the city of Lewisville. You will find multiple attractions for entertainment and suspense, such as the 1 Hour to Escape Rooms, where you or a group must figure out how to get out of a themed room in time by following clues placed throughout the area. Lewisville also has Air Adventures Aloft, which is a company offering fantastic hot air balloon rides. Twenty-one miles away, you have the urban center of Dallas, where you can spend a whole day sightseeing, shopping and eating.
You will be surrounded by gorgeous homes with manicured lawns, lakes and ponds as well as parks, golf courses and other desirable amenities. You will know this is the perfect spot for you, after settling into your new home among the many options of apartments in Coppell, Texas.
