Newly renovated and great landlord

First off, this building is very pet friendly, which is great for San francisco. I have a cat and with this apartment you don't have to sacrifice quality or pay a premium for cats, which also is rare for San francisco. The building was built in the 20s so it's an old building but has been maintained very well. It has an old fashioned elevator that has been refurbished and works great, and the floors/kitchens are redone unless you've been living here forever. If you're lucky enough to be in the ...

front, you might even have distant ocean views since it is one of the tallest buildings nearby, but even if you can't see the ocean, you'll have a view of the park and if you're in the back or the side, twin peaks and ucsf, etc. We ended up getting electricity free until they install per unit meters, and I think some other people in the building get this perk as well!!! There is a nice high ceiling lobby and a washer dryer in the building, I hear even some of the apartments have a washer dryer in unit. Altogether, I'm happy with the building, it's well maintained and has a friendly and attentive landlady, and there are tons of very cute pets in the building, so if you like animals, it's a great place. The location is really good, there are a number of good restaurants and some good neighborhood bars. The n Judah is literally a block away, so public transit is pretty good. It takes about 30 mins to get downtown, which is pretty reasonable, and much better than other areas in sf. There is only one downside we've encountered so far. Since they are renovating apartments , there is some construction going on. There is one apartment on the 4th floor being redone now, but hopefully it won't be too long. They occasionally shut off water for an hour or two during work hours, so it usually doesn't affect me, but if you work from home, it may be an issue, although it hasn't happened in a month or so now.
