Nice apartments with a drug problem
May 17, 2024I'm not sure even where to begin with this one so I'll start with the positives. The apartments are very nice for the most part, it a new construction building with a/c, an elevator, new appliances, tall ceilings and everything on the surface seems great. The maintenance for us was always done in a timely manner as well, but the positives end there. Unfortunately, this area is not the greatest, and constantly night after night, people use the stairwells to smoke crack. How do I know this? Not ...only have I seen them, but just the other day I found a crack rock in the window sill. There is constantly burnt tinfoil, and cigarettes and the stairs just reek of chemicals and burnt plastic. During our lease we've had encounters with at least 4 individuals either sleeping or using drugs in the stairwell. On one occasion it appeared someone defecated and put a t-shirt over it. On another occasion someone burned a racial slur into the wall with a lighter, and it took 3 days for the management company to clean it up. I personally have been physically threatened, while walking to my apartment by two individuals as well. The management company is unable to do anything about this without the landlord who owns the place, and even just putting up some simple security camera in the stairwell is a no-go.
