Lack of Maintenance, cheaply constructed and insulated

Maintenance requests are half fulfilled or closed without any tangible improvements. Apartment temp closely mirrors the outside weather, with HVAC systems taking the edge off, but never maintaining the set point temperature. My AC unit has been running continuously for the last week, finally managing to get the apartment below 75 degrees at night, then raising back up to 77 during the day (I have it set to hold at 70 degrees, but it has never gotten there) My electric bill is nearly double in the ...

The outside units are missing insulation on their hoses and clear plastic tubing in my utilities closet has black mold growing in it (complained about it several times last year, was never resolved). In addition to that, management policies are designed to keep residents from moving by requiring a 60 day move out notice and having exceptionally high rents for anything other than a 12 or 13 month agreement (which still demands a high rent, plus not well advertised fees). I strongly recommend shopping around before settling for this place.

Terrible

Ive lived here several years this place has been in a steady decline for years now. The office staff is incredibly rude and unhelpful, the maintenance guys are either not allowed to fix anything or refuse to fix anything. I have a stove that is a fire hazard that they refuse to do anything about. I have made numerous complaints and they will not do anything about it. The price is outrageous and goes up every year. Now if you love spiders this is the place for you, I have never encountered so many ...
spiders in my life and these things are huge. Again numerous complaints, again nothing is done. The parking lot is a disaster, the duck pond does not exist it is just a giant mud hole. They do nothing to treat the sidewalks or parking lot during the winter, I have fallen several times and actually came across an elderly woman that had fallen and broken her nose. She had already called the ambulance i just waited with her until they showed up. Again they did nothing. My carpet is literally coming apart at the seams, they do not care. I have huge cracks in most of my walls, they do not care. My dishwasher does not wash dishes, they do not care. Honestly this place is the worst, I highly recommended against anyone moving in here.

Spacious Apartments, bad maintenance, poor communication

The apartment units themselves are spacious, with multiple options for floor plans and several units being updated with new flooring and appliances. Noise is fairly average. I can hear my upstairs neighbor walk around but rarely hear my neighbors TVs or music. I can never hear them talking nor can I hear street noise. Overall maintenance less than satisfactory. Requests are half fulfilled and marked as completed or sit open for months before action is taken. I've had some requests open for up ...
to 3 months that still have not been completed. The HVAC units struggle to keep up in the summer and run continuously without getting units to comfortable temperatures, jacking up electrical bills . General grounds upkeep is decent with lawns regularly being maintained. There is sadly little to no proactive maintenance on the actual facilities that I can see. Flooring pieces are missing in the common breezeways between units, security gates malfunction and are not repaired for months, and potholes are left unfilled in the parking lot for months. Nothing gets done unless enough residence complain about it. The pool is also an issue at times. It opens hours later than posted the posted hours and it is closed erratically without notice or explanation. Those issues aside, the space of the units and the peaceful neighborhood generally make it a comfortable place to live. All of the major issues I have with the facility can be improved and are mainly centered around the antiquated HVAC units and the need for more maintenance personnel so the facility can stop being reactive to multiple residence needs and start being proactive on basic upkeep.

Big, open, and bright

I recently moved into Autumn Grove Apartments and so far I'm loving it. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The apartment itself is very open with lots of natural light. They also allow big dogs which is great because I have a chocolate lab. There were a few things that needed fixing, but the maitenance staff appears to fix things fairly quickly. We have only been here a few days, but we already love the apartment. No place has felt more like our home than Autumn Grove. The management really takes an initiative to make sure we are comfortable and taken care of. They have great follow-up times and they never make you feel like you are inconveniencing them. Plus! Feels like home!

This is a great complex if you are downsizing from a house, or waiting to be a first time home buyer. The floor plans aren't like typical apartments and have character. Lots of natural light from all the windows. The staff are kind and helpful. Helpful tip, inquire what flooring, appliances, bathroom features you're apartment will have compared to the model unit. I was disappointed when I had different carpet and linoleum instead of wood laminate. Other than that, very happy with this move.

I would recommend this apartment

IThe buildings are all a mix of different styles of apartments and the buildings are at angles to each other. I don't get that "all in a row apartment feeling. More like a community. A lot of variety to choose. I have been here 3 years, but am moving to another town or I would renew. As anywhere there are minor problem at times. My 2 greyhounds love the big dog park!! It's a joy to watch them run full speed doing their ZOOMIES
