I stay in a one bedroom apart over here. As a single male I can say it fits my needs for the time being, but it definitely inspires me toward some kind of home/land ownership. Reasons being that you definitely pay for the convenience of being close to DC here, and I have had SEVERAL neighbors around me move to either downgrade the price or find bigger bang for the buck. For some of the rates, you might as well try for a house and lower your expenses that way.

Overall, a nice area to walk around. The area is not too bad on the eyes.
Weekday Shuttle will take you to Pentagon City Metro, if you have the shuttle card.
Cons
Walls too thin, if neighbors have noisy kids(especially little ones) you'll know
Maintenance HAS to do pest control once in awhile
Some neighbors are just plain noisy, hope you can work it out with them
Details about the Area
I consider it the international hub of VA here. There's some of everyone from literally EVERYWHERE around here. Thus there are various international food stores in the area if you have specific food items you like. People pretty much keep to themselves; they just want to work, take care of their kids, and live their lives. Definitely helps if you know Spanish as many people in the area speak Spanish, or Arabic as a first language( for many, their ONLY language). BUT if you can talk to them(and sometimes even if you can't, like in my case), you might very well be invited over to have beer. Overall, I can see though some people have been here several years, they use it as a stepping stone to greater things. If you have neighbors who aren't too noisy, you won't really have too many complaints.
