The Colony management is the most sorry excuse for hospitality I've ever experienced first hand. We have paid every month on time even w/o the online payment not working and they still feel the need to enforce the 60-day notice-to-vacate clause. They don't have personal relationships with their residents, they just take their money, add it to the bottom line and keep living in their oblivious bubble. There are roaches ALL over the property and in the units. The roads around the property have more ...

The Colony is one of the few older appartment complexes left in Southpark, which in my opinion is more pro than con. For example, the apartments are actually spacious-my one bedroom is 845sqft and includes a washer/dryer as well as a patio. The buildings are brick and adorable and the trees are abundant (hello there birds, bunnies, and chipmunks). The location at the corner of Colony and Sharon across the street from two grocery stores and right next to the mall can't be beat. As for the cons, ...

because these buildings are very old, there are typical problems that can arise with age. Also, lot of the ground floor patios are very dilapidated, almost laughably so. Lastly, start taking anti-palmetto bug measures the day you move in (if you're proactive, it's not a problem, but if you're playing defense...yeah)

For the price and location, it can't be beaten! I can walk to southpark mall and it is a good complex. Also the rent is fantastic! I have an affordable 2 bedroom apartment in Southpark. You can't find that anywhere else. Sure it is a little older and energy bills are a little higher. But what I save on rent is worth it.
