Most of these, however, lose that authentic Irish touch somewhere in the wash, so it's sometimes tough to find that real Irish taste in the mile high city. One place getting the taste just right is Scruffy Murphy's Irish Pub, one of the premier pubs in all of Denver, with real Irish food, and a casual yet elegant decor that provides comfort while not being short on style. Anglophiles will lose their heads when they walk in and try the delicious food, and dozens of different brews. The first step in making yourself a fantastic brew pub is to have a wide array of fantastic beers. Scruffy Murphy's has a terrific selection of beers from all over the world, including UK flavors such as Guinness, Smithwicks, Boddingtons, Harps and Bass, and domestic favorites such as Pabst Blue Ribbon, Coors Light, Budweiser and Killians. There are also plenty of happy hour and daily specials, so make sure to check back each day to see what the next big deal is. Another important part of any pub is delicious food, and Scruffy Murphy's delivers there as well. Start your meal with some roasted red pepper hummus, pita pizza, quesadillas, or spinach artichoke dip, or try one of their delicious soup or salads. For main course, try their scrumptious shepherd's pie, bangers and mash, or stuffed shells, or one of their sandwich options, including the pub club, the meatball, ham and Swiss or turkey. Many places call themselves authentically Irish, but few have the ability to follow up on their claims. If you're an apartment-ite looking for real Irish grub, beers and atmosphere in Denver, walk right in to Scruffy Murphy's Irish Pub, but be careful, you may never want to leave.
