What is the history of Glen Burnie?

Elias Glenn, a district attorney, established Glen Burnie in 1812 as Glennsburne. Glenns grandson, William Wilkins Glenn, expanded the area in 1854 by incorporating the Curtis Creek Mining, Furnace and Manufacturing Co. What Glen Burnie landmarks should I see?

Historically, First Avenue Elementary, built in 1899 and St. Albans Episcopal Church, built in 1904, are landmarks due to their age. But practically speaking, North Arundale Hospital is notable because its near the center of Glen Burnie. Glen Haven Memorial Park is visible along Ritchie Highway, making it a landmark of sorts.

What is there to do around Glen Burnie?
