Famous around the world, and receiving critical praise from every major newspaper, from the New York Times, to the Boston Globe, Capital Grille is not just one of the greatest restaurants in Houston, but perhaps one of the best in the nation. Capital Grille is not a place for a casual dinner out. It's the kind of place where a shirt and tie would be considered dressing down, and a costumer wouldn't be surprised to find tuxedos and fancy dress filling the place. The restaurant is all about class and taste, and from the appetizers to all of the entrees, you'll find only the fanciest of classic dishes for your enjoyment. To start off the meal, you could start out your meal with some of the world's best caviar, or multiple combinations of shellfish and lobster. As far as the main courses go, steaks are the star item, and no matter what you're looking for, from the filet mignon, alone or with cippolini onions and wild mushrooms, or one of their prime sirloins. If you're in for something a bit larger, then you can try their dry aged, hand sculpted, 20 oz Porterhouse, or the Delmonico, a 22 oz. served in au jus. For those looking for something a bit different, they have a great selection of alternatives, from their delicious seafood, including broiled lobster, Swordfish Jardiniere, served with asparagus, spinach, corn and roasted tomoatoes, as well as grilled seared tuna and salmon; to lamb chops, veal chops, and split breast chicken. At the Capital Grill, the desserts are just as high class as the rest of the menu, and just as delectable. If you're up for something light after such a hearty meal, then try their fresh berries in vanilla cream, Capital Grille's own Creme Anglais, or Fresh Strawberries Capital Grille, served in vanilla ice cream and their special Grand Marnier and ruby port sauce. There's also a classic creme brulee, chocolate hazelnut cake, flourless chocolate espresso cake, and even the Grille's own homemade ice cream. No matter what you're looking for in a dessert, there's something that sure to please at Capital Grille. Capital Grille is a high class joint, great for a night on the town, and is sure to impress your loved one. It's a great way to take a break from cooking in your apartment, or ordering in, and lets you dress up and have a romantic evening with that perfect someone.
