One place serving up Southern-style food just like mama used to make is Kathy's Southern Cooking, where the very ambiance and hospitality screams deep South, and the food is some of the best you're likely to find this side of the Mississippi. Country cooking doesn't get much better than this, and with the heaping helpings you get from this Henderson hot spot, and the service is always friendly and ready to give you exactly what you want. Kathy's is famous for its Southern-style dishes, and stars from around the country have coming in over the years, and the walls are a testament to this, with signed pictures of B.B. King, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Natalie Cole gracing the walls. All your country favorites are here, from homemade fried chicken and catfish, to finger-licking barbecue spare ribs, to succulent pork chops, delectable seafood and of course a hearty gumbo. From your first bite you'll be taken back to the days when your mama used to slave over a hot stove to make you a Sunday dinner, which you can now experience every day of the week. Kathy's also holds the distinction of being one of the places in Vegas where you can get a real glass of fresh sweet tea. Las Vegas may contain a variety of restaurants containing just about every cuisine imaginable, they're not afraid to go back to their roots, with real, authentic Southern cooking just like grandma used to make, without any of the trouble of whipping it up in your apartment.
