Polk Gulch 1 Bedroom
August 16, 2015This small, 1907 Victorian inspired building in the heart of the city (on Polk St and California) houses nine, 1 bedroom apartment units. The intimate nature of the building is charming and feels like classic San Franciscan living. It is much different than living in a large, new apt complex, as most appliances are dated and the landlord is not always at your beckon call. But it's a truly lovely building. Location is excellent and transportation is so easy (near cable car, all mini lines on Van ...Ness, and within blocks to any other bus to get to almost all parts of the city). The Polk Gulch neighborhood makes living easy, with access to local markets, Trader Joes and Whole Foods. There are also top rated SF bars and restaurants sprinkled throughout the neighborhood. *this is one of the few blocks on Polk that doesn't have a crazy bar, which is great. Inside, you'll find the original shelving buildout, original rafters and high ceilings that make the large living room simply beautiful. Overall, this apartment is perfect for one person or a couple (without kids). Would highly recommend this apt building!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
