Reviews aren’t everything and I’m not sure anyone will read this but leaving negative reviews seems to be the only way to get Magnolia to respond to issues. My partner and I both left reviews for Magnolia at Lakewood and we seem to have gotten faster responses after submitting them. Another thing to note, they have employees leaving 5 star reviews for their properties. I would strongly advise any potential renters to avoid Magnolia properties. We have had an AC issue at one of the properties ...
(Lakewood) for over 6 months. We have gotten the runaround from maintenance and tried to escalate with little success. Our AC had been malfunctioning all summer causing electric bills that are double what they normally are. They finally acknowledged there was an issue around the 5th service request. A few weeks after a part or two was replaced the AC leaked rust/oil/water all over our clothes and stained some of them as well as ruining a suitcase. We have had 8 service requests regarding our air conditioning since June 2022. We have had to stay home, take time off, and deal with maintenance more times than we can count throughout those 8 work orders. We thought we deserved some sort of compensation for our time, the inconvenience, the electric bills, and the ruined items. We reached out to try and contact our regional manager Jeremy and while he was able to get an actual HVAC tech out, he did deny our compensation request saying Magnolia had “responded in a timely manner” to all of our requests. Maintenance had closed multiple work orders without doing anything and we have waited days and weeks for responses from our front office and regional manager. Jeremy (our regional manager) denied us any compensation saying that Magnolia “responded in a timely manner” to all of our request. Our latest work order was closed after 3 weeks (November 18th) of being open with a resolution of “changed a filter”. No filter was ever changed, and as of 12/9/2022 no filter has been changed. On 12/6/2022 there was still work being done by an HVAC company for the work order despite it being closed weeks earlier. It’s hard to to qualify that as "timely" when it took 6 weeks on our latest work order. And that's just a small part of it, it actually took 6 months and 8 work orders to get the problem solved.

I feel like this property is not the same as when I first moved in! Too much dog poop! Rent is so high here and it’s lacking in the luxury part! Please hire someone to clean dog poop! It’s like a swamp trying to throw dog poop away! Maybe stepping stones to the pet waste bin? Which would be nice too if those could get replaced so I don’t have to take a million bags out! Get more parking for residents and their guest! The wood stairs need some wood cleaner! The doors need to be replaced in the ...
stairway! Their needs to be fans in the stairway so it’s not a sauna in the summer time! Sounds like my neighbors upstairs are two stepping all day! You can’t enjoy the surround so because of the crap insulation job! Host some events so the community can’t come together and actually get to know each other!!!!

Its a brand new community walking distance to White Rock Lake. The property is small and boutique, which is what I love! The apartments are beautiful inside and many cool technology features. The staff is friendly and inviting, they really care!
