Beware
May 12, 2024WARNING!! I am a penthouse resident here. There are so many issues with this building. We have been here for 5 months and our HVAC system DOES NOT WORK properly and has completely gone out MULTIPLE times, one bedroom doesn’t get air (still doesn’t), the HVAC has also leaked and ruined the flooring. This is not just our unit. A lot of units in the building, especially the penthouses, are having multiple issues with their HVAC systems and they have tried to fix things to no avail. The hot water ...doesn’t last, you’re lucky if you get 10 min of hot water total. Again not just our unit, many units in the building. We have had our windows leak multiple times where water comes in with a storm and has also ruined the floors. There have been several times where there was NO WATER ENTIRELY in our unit at peak times. So no toilet, no sink and no shower. A couple of times the A/C vent outside our front door has leaked with water pouring down. While there are smaller maintenance issues, the main things are the HVAC systems and the water. We’re going on 6 months with the A/C not resolved. The actual maintenance team, Oscar and Ben, are great. But they can only do so much when so many of the issues are out of their control. The new management team has also ruined the resident experience here. All of the things that made the building appealing in the first place have been taken away. Expect a lot of turnover in staff, especially staff the residents like. When we moved in, the entrance refrigerator was always stocked with water, the coffee bar was unlimited and valet had extended hours. They have taken away the water, you only get a certain number of coffees per month then have to pay and valet has short hours. There were other luxury services also taken away. The staff that was here, the residents liked and trusted. They were big on customer service. The concierge/security team is a revolving door now. With the exception of Gabby and John, both of whom are amazing. It is very evident that the new management team is only concerned with money and do not care about the wellbeing or happiness of the residents. They lack communication and sometimes will not respond at all. While the maintenance issues have always been a problem, it was all the other things and customer service aspect that made you be patient with them trying to fix it. Now the customer service is gone and so is the luxury. The pool area is nice. The gathering spaces are also excellent.Property Manager Responded
