For the ultimate date night restaurant, for steak lovers and fine food diners, XO Prime Steaks is the pick of Cleveland. Even if you bought USDA prime beef at your local grocery and grilled it on your Cleveland apartment deck with an awesome grill, you could never attain the sleek style and presumptuousness of XO Prime Steaks. Not that you must wear a tux or tie, or fancy dress with heels at this incredible restaurant, but it is such an excellent place to impress a business person or date with the excellent food, service and ambiance of the restaurant. The fall out of your chair great steaks, always prime - the best the USDA has to offer and limited to 2% of the nation's beef, are not the only thing that keeps you coming back to XO. With top of the line delectable steaks and juicy seafood, you'd think that would be enough. Their side dish selection is tops, with eight potato choices and ten veggie dishes. To top off your steak or seafood, XO offers six house-made sauces and three butter sauces. Menu choices are outstanding here. You could almost make a meal out of the incredible appetizers at XO. If you're in the mood for beef, try the Beef Filet Carpaccio, Beef Tartar and fried capers served with whole grain mustard sauce or the skewers of Prime Beef Tenderloin and Prosciutto wrapped dates stuffed with Chorizo, over creamy polenta and pomegranate demi. And if it's seafood you're after to start your meal, try the huge shrimp cocktail, crab cakes or oysters. Salads are composed of the typical wedge salad, Caesar salad or a yummy cobb salad, or you can order french onion or a creamy corn chowder for soup. Entrees for Cleveland apartment-ites include every known steak cut of meat including a filet and rib eye, then you have a selection of blue cheese, crab or lobster to top it off, with a variety of sauces including Bearnaise, horseradish, hollandaise or the XO steak sauce. Tuna, sea bass, grouper, salmon, shrimp and lobster round out the seafood selection - prepared numerous, delicious ways. The two-person potato selection includes the typical baked potato and potatoes au gratin, but also sweet potato and roasted garlic mash, baked red skins and fries. Other sides include spinach, asparagus, collard greens and onion rings. As you may be able to tell, this is a fine restaurant, and the prices reflect it at about $30 for a Filet Mignon, and just under $10 for a side dish. Wine is not too cheap either, but hey, you're out to impress, right? And while we know it's not always where you eat, but what you eat, this place is pretty hot. Contemporary ostrich covered bar stools accent the zebra wood bar that faces 2,000 strands of steel beads. Just imagine that! It's the place to see and be seen, with noted professional athletes know to grace the restaurant with their presence. Located in the warehouse district of downtown Cleveland, it's never to far to get to after work or just coming from your Cleveland apartment. Make an appearance here and stay awhile, delving into incredible steaks and seafood.
