When someone mentions Good Stuff Eatery, my mouth starts to water. A burger joint that offers not just great burgers, but incredible burgers, fries and milkshakes. This is an upscale version of a fast food restaurant, with an open kitchen and consistent food that you'll enjoy eating in or at your apartment. It's not just any cheeseburger that you'll eat at Good Stuff. The melt in your mouth fine beef with hickory smoked bacon and dripping with melted Vermont cheddar with a delicious fresh sliced tomato and lettuce is just one of the dozen choices. Vegetarian? These burgers are offered as well. With your burger, make sure you order either seasoned village fries or the fried quarter onion with a variety of special sauces to choose from. The fries, of which you receive plenty, are seasoned with rosemary and thyme for a scrumptious combination. Not your old-fashioned french fry. My favorite sauce is the tangy chipoltle mayo. Make sure you come hungry too, for no burger is complete without a shake. Toasted marshmallow, along with the typical vanilla, chocolate and strawberry and other varieties are made with homemade ice cream. Open 11:30 am to 11 pm during the week and open until midnight Thursday through Saturday, the restaurant observes the day of rest by being closed on Sundays. Be prepared to wait a bit when you eat in order to go, Good Stuff is mighty popular, but the gracious host staff and the 12 cooks frying up burgers and fries are quite friendly. Chef Spike tries to greet all customers in some way.
