    I’ve been living here for 1.5 years and I absolutely love it! Since the very beginning Karissa, my leasing consultant, has always been very attentive and super helpful. Management and the maintenance techs are all very responsive too! Great place to live. :)

  • Great place to live!

    I have been living at Camden Monument Place for about 3 years now. From the day that I inquired about an apartment up until present day the staff has been extremely nice, helpful and attentive to all of my concerns. The property is generally well up-kept other than minor issues (such as trash left out by residents in the hallway or more recently the garage). When this is reported Maintenance immediately ensures that the area is clear. Maintenance responds to requests within hours of submission ...
    which is a plus. Any concerns I may have the office staff attentively tries to resolve the best way possible. A few technical issues such as the garage or elevators but the office staff does their best to address these in a timely manner. No alarming pest concerns which is generally a concern for those who look for apartments. If there is a bug or two pest control comes within the following day or two. The only issue I have had is in regards to packages being lost or taken. Which the office staff has put signs around the property for the delivery personnel to come to the office for access. Hopefully there is another resolution as it can be a headache for those in school or during the holiday time. Overall, I have truly enjoyed living here and hope that the experience continues to get better as I have seen the Staff go the extra mile to make our experience as best as possible!

  • Lower price, lower service, you get what you pay for.

    If you want a non-smoking complex, stay away! It has been a smokers haven. They just went non-smoking in June, but anybody who has a current lease can smoke on their patios as much as they want until lease renews, so it will be at least two years before it is smoke free. The management does nothing if you can smell the smoke in your apartment or patio. Also, non resident cars park in our covered garage all the time, and when a resident complains, they do nothing. TOW the cars. I'm paying for ...
    an extra space. This complex is in a nice area, yet the upkeep and management need a lot of improvement. Would not reccomend to anyone. There are so many apartment complexes near this, look around.

  • The Crime in this apartment complex is INSANE!!

    Lived here for over 2 years. The place itself is not bad. The staff are good as well, but the people around the area are awful! Since I've lived there my brand new car (3 months old at the time) has been broken into and damaged along with 12 other cars that night. Vandalism is sky rocket at this location, even with the gates they manage to cut through it and get in. Car windows were smashed, and even left on cinderblocks. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done as I was told. It seams as ...

    I write this as a 2 year resident of Monument Place. On the outside, it looks great (pool, nice landscaping, etc.) however the building is designed terribly and leaves much to be desired. First, the walls are paper thin. It may seem hyperbolic, but I assure you it is not. We can hear conversations happening next door to us when people are talking at or a little above their "inside voices." We know their names, grocery needs, and a lot more. We also know the schedules of the kids who live ...
    above us, as we can follow their footsteps across the ceiling. It's not worth reporting any of this as excessive noise because it isn't--these are people going about their daily routines and through no fault of their own, we can hear everything. I've slept worse here than any other place I've lived to date. Second, the parking garage has a lot of issues with its gate, which means anyone can come and go as they please, taking up spots for residents. It makes you wonder why you pay more for "secured parking." We've had items stolen from our doorstep, and I've had people soliciting door-to-door within the complex for kids' clubs in Maryland. The maintenance staff are actually the only good part of this place--always quick to respond to issues that come up. There may not be any better options out there in the area, but when our lease ends, we are out. Hopefully we can find somewhere that offers a better value and a better sleep.

    I've been a Camden resident for a little over a year now, residing in the Fair Lakes property previously. Both properties are very well maintained and have both office and maintenance staff who are very attentive and friendly. Monument Place's pool and fitness centers don't compare to the ones at Fair Lakes, however if you're willing to trade that for covered parking (which I was) then you might have yourself a good choice here.     quirk I have is that, not the walls, but the CEILINGS are paper-thin. If you have a neighbor living above you who walks heavily, you'll be able to hear them without a doubt. However, I've yet to hear my neighbors on either side of me except if there's no noise (TV, fan, etc.) in my apartment and one of them have their TV's on and it's close to the wall we share.     Overall my living experience at Camden has been great. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and maintenance responds quick. The location can't be topped. Malls, highways and shopping are all in the area, as well as the best grocery stores. The parking garage is also a great feature. If I had one complaint it would be that there are no cameras in the parking garage and the top level can be kind of dark. Also that there is nowhere to receive packages. They no longer accept them in the front ...

  • Large space friendly staff!

    Camden Monument Place is smack in the middle of everything Fairfax has to offer - steps away from the Fair Oaks Mall, Fairfax Corner and other shopping, restaurants and movie theatres. The facilities are excellent- a gym, pool with lifeguard, and well-kept grounds. Maintenance is always prompt and efficient (and smiling!); staff in the front office are there to help and super friendly. I feel safe with gated garage and entrances, and the sense of community here is great because of events the ...

  • Beautiful, but loud

    Camden Monument Place is a great place to live, with spacious floor plans, high ceilings, maintained grounds, stunning pool, plentiful garage parking, and a wonderfully convenient location. However, the walls and ceilings are thin, so you better like noise... a lot of noise. Units on Monument Drive have a lot of street noise, especially on Monday night when a car club meets down the street and likes to use Monument Drive as a racing strip.     barks and children screaming as they play on their bikes, so really there is no escaping noise coming from outside. There is also the noise from inside the building. I've had several neighbors in the unit above mine over the last few years. There were the high heel wearer, the jump out of bed man, the early morning floor scrubber, and currently the screaming children who never sleep. I've know all of their schedules. I can hear them get up and go to the toilet every morning. I can hear them cough and sneeze. I can hear their phones vibrate. I can hear the current screaming children who never sleep run from room to room shrieking early in the morning and late at night. The neighbors to the side are great too. You see due to the layout of the units, the wall of my master bedroom is opposite the living room wall of the neighboring unit, so my head is right against where their TV is. It is fun to figure out what they are watching. It's just normal life noise, so nothing to actually complain about to management. They really aren't being excessive in volume, it's just that you can hear every noise they make. So every year I think I can't take the noise any more. It's driving me nuts! Then I resign my lease for another 15 months at a sort of ridiculously high rent, because it's just such a wonderfully convenient location, with such nice high ceilings, spacious rooms, garage parking and that gorgeous pool.
