Decent First Apartment

Didn't really know what to look for in an apartment, and so thought it was a good deal. However, after moving things in and inspecting further, I found a great many things that I didn't like. Firstly, all the cabinets were sticky, particularly the kitchen cabinets; secondly, the Dishwasher and community laundry room is really dilapidated, with the laundry room floor all moldy and caving in with stray clothing and dirt everywhere, and the dishwasher had melted racks and rust; thirdly, the carpet ...
looked like it hasn't been vacuumed since the last tenants moved out; fourth, the bathroom and kitchen counters had cracks in them and the faucets, shower head, and toilet had rust on them; fifth, there were multiple holes in many of the walls which we were promised would be filled in, yet it's been three months and nobody's come to fix it; and lastly, but not least, the A/C wasn't blowing cold air in 103 degree heat, but at least we were provided with a monstrous swamp cooler that was damaged and missing a hose and probably cost more in electricity than anything else, and it took the property manager and the owner a whole month to finally send an HVAC worker to fix the A/C. But there are some redeeming qualities. There are plenty of plugs and plenty of space, storage is aplenty with a lot of (sticky) drawers and cabinets, decent-sized closets, two bedrooms, blinds on all the windows that all worked, and a door with a metal screen door, regular door locks plus a chain lock on the main door. So, one star for the poor state and poor service received, another star for the good stuff about the apartment.
