When visiting Denver's Civic Center, there are a lot of different buildings and locations to hit, from the US Mint, to the Capitol Building, to the Art Museum, and after taking in all the historic locales, apartment-ites may need some time to relax. One place that makes it easy to do just that is the Civic Center Park, right in the heart of the Civic Center, so you don't have to go far from your adventures in historic Denver to enjoy it. The park is full of beautiful trees, plants and flowers, as well as plenty of amenities for your sporting and relaxation needs. There's hardly any better parks throughout the city. It may not be the biggest park in town, but it makes the most of all of its space, full of flower gardens, statuary, a lighted concert stage, and even a traditional Greek theater. It is also home to a War Memorial, as well as the Voorhees Memorial Seal Pond, a large and beautiful fountain sitting in the center of the park. With all this beauty, it's no wonder that so many events choose this park as their location, and it has become one of the most popular spots in the state to hold major events. When it comes time for festivals, concerts or other special occasions in Denver, this park is usually the spot of choice. Many concerts are held in the park, as well as the Theater in the Park, which usually takes place in the park's large outdoor Green Amphitheater. Most parades throughout the year end or begin in the park, and the park is host to numerous festivals, such as the Cinco de Mayo party, which is the biggest party of its kind in the nation, and the Taste of Colorado Music Festival, held during labor day weekend every year. It may not have the size of the City Park, but it more than makes up for it in enjoyment. Denver apartment-ites looking to relax after a busy day touring the Civic Center, or coming into town for some major event, have to check out the Civic Center Park, one of the hottest places for special events in all of Denver.
