Write a ReviewDenver is a vast space of unparalleled beauty, and there are numerous places around town to take in the sights, from parks, to zoos, to mountain look-out points, but one of the best places to take in the beauty of it all is the Denver Botanic Gardens. All of the most beautiful vegetation in Colorado can be found in this 21-acre space of splendid beauty. Each area of the park has different variations of plants and animals, so with each step you take, you'll be entering a new world. For nature fans, there's nowhere better to take in the beauty of Colorado flora. Each stretch of garden brings you something new and exciting, so there's always some new kind of vegetation to discover. You can check out 175 different varieties of roses in the May Bonfils-Stanton Memorial Rose Garden, or a mixture of wild plants such as wild flax and prairie penstemons at the Laura Smith Porter Plains garden, discover beautiful orchids spiraling around a man-made tree the Cloud Forest Tree, or the O'Fallon Perennial, inspired by the beautiful perennials that grow around England. You can also see a collection of Colorado's endangered plants at the Endangered Species exhibit, or see plants used by Native Americans in Sacred Earth. For those looking to learn more about Colorado wild vegetation, or about the environment in general, you can take part in a number of tours and classes. On the weekends, guided tours are available, in which a tour guide takes you through the beauty of all the gardens in the park. There are also self-guided tours scattered around the place, for those wanting a more hands-on experience. There are also a number of educational classes, from gardening and planting, to beekeeping, to protecting the environment, to flower arranging. If you're looking to learn anything about gardening, flowers or the environment, this is one of the best places to learn.
