There are also municipal bus lines, Torrance Transit and the Gardena bus lines. Torrance has two major roads, the Pacific Coast Highway and Hawthorne Boulevard Highway. During rush hour avoid the Hawthorne Avenue as it is the busiest in the city. The Artiesia Ave. in the northern end of the city is also busy during rush hour. If you need to go from north to south in the shortest time, use Prairie Avenue. It runs parallel to Hawthorne Boulevard Highway and is less crowded.

The city of Torrance has quality television programming and radio channels. The Torrance Community Television, which is commonly referred to as TCtv is available to all residents in the area on cable. It is broadcasted on Spectrum Cable Channel 28 as well as Fronties FiOS on channel 36 in the Torrance area. The channel support free-of-charge viewing for the Torrance area, and is rivaled by CitiCable. There are over 103 radio stations in Torrance area, and they are accessible over the internet. The most popular stations are KXLU 88.9 Fm Global Talk Radio and Urban Soul radio.
