The trick is finding just the right one for you. The Tavern Downtown was voted one of the top ten best rooftop bar by Playboy Magazine, and received praise from many other major outlets as well, so with pedigree like that, why wouldn't one want to make this there one and only hangout spot for a fun night out. For all you club hoppers and night owls, there's no place better for an evening on the town. The club is made up of a number of different areas, each inviting in another kind of patron. It features a large lounge with fireplace for relaxing, featuring comfy couches and a huge, roaring fireplace, as well as huge screen television for catching the big game, a game room, featuring plenty of fun bar games as well as pool and darts, and full bar with every kind of liquor imaginable, and a dining for those wanting to enjoy a bite. That's just the ground floor. The real fun is on the upper deck, ,where you can gulp down a meal, down a few beers or cocktails, and chat amongst your friends. While you're at the bar, make sure to check out their daily and happy hour specials, but no matter when you go you're sure to find a good deal to check out. The Tavern Downtown doesn't phone in the food like most bars. All of it is cooked fresh to order, hot and fresh off the grill. You can start your evening off with Kobe sliders, buffalo calamari, loaded nachos, tavern tenders, tavern wings, homemade potato chips, or their dip duo, with guacamole and chilled queso. If you're still hungry, try one of their entree specials, including fish and chips, Chicago dog, grilled bratwurst, fish tacos, or a spicy Italian sandwich. There are also excellent pizza options, in BBQ chicken, and buffalo, or stombolis, in Philly, with steak, peppers, onions and Mozzarella, or the Italian, with spicy sausage, sweet peppers, ricotta, Mozzarella, and pizza sauce. There are also delicious burgers, in beef or buffalo, or one of their delicious salad and soup options. Just make sure to save room for The High Road, Rocky Road ice cream in a Oreo cookie crust, coated in chocolate, topped with caramel, chocolate, and whipped cream. Rooftop taverns are all the rage around the world, but one of the very best in the nation can be found right here in Denver. Apartment-ites who are night hounds, food buffs and club hoppers alike will love their Denver locale, that has a little something for everyone.
