Framingham, Massachusetts of the town that is growing quickly. Located in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, it was incorporated back in 1700. Therefore, it has a tremendous amount of history. Prior to the arrival of European settlers, the area surrounding Framingham, Massachusetts was inhabited by Native Americans. The first European settlers arrived in the mid-1600s. After that time, the area began to grow quickly. As the New England area began to expand, the area surrounding Framingham, Massachusetts was heavily involved in the American Revolution. After America won its independence, Framingham continued to grow. The region participated heavily in the American Civil War, followed by the Industrial Revolution. How is the weather in Framingham?

Similar to the rest of the New England area, Framingham is relatively cold. It is not unusual for temperatures to dip below 0░ Fahrenheit during the winter, particularly during January. During the summer, Framingham can heat up, however, it is unusual for temperatures to reach 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Because of the proximity to the coast, Framingham is a relatively humid area. There are several mass transit options. For example, Amtrak serves the area, providing direct service between Boston and Chicago that goes right through Framingham. There are also several bus lines in the area, including the Logan Express. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation also offers Park and Ride services.á

What is the Framingham commute like?

Traffic in Framingham can get busy. Given its proximity to Boston, the traffic patterns in Framingham mirror those of Boston. During the morning, traffic can be heavy moving from Framingham into Boston. During the evening, traffic can get heavy again moving from Boston back into Framingham. Even though traffic is not as heavy as it is in Boston, this is still something people need to consider if they are planning on driving in the local area. Finally, there is also a major airport nearby, as Boston Logan International Airport is not that far from Framingham.á

What are the local media outlets?

Because Framingham is so close to Boston, many of the media outlets in Framingham come directly from Boston. For example, some of the most popular newspapers in the region include the Patriot Ledger, the Cape Cod Times, The Telegram and Gazette, and the Boston Globe. Some of the most popular TV stations in Framingham include WBTS, WHDH, and WCVB. Finally, there are also numerous radio stations in the area as well including WXKS, WBZ, WROR, WBMX, WODS, WMJX, and WJMN.
