Apartment living in Houston can be an awesome experience because of the so many options for a night out. Restaurants, bars, clubs, pubs and all other kind of venues are at their disposal, but where do you go if you're in the mood for an entertaining sports bar, bit also in the mood for some delicious Italian food. In most cases, you'd be having to rush from one to the other, but with Nick's Place, you don't have to choose. With refreshing suds, delectable food and great sports on the many screens, the place has a little something for everyone. As a sports bar, Nick's Place is top notch, with over 40 TVs scattered about the place, so you'll always find a great game on. They're connected to DirecTV, satellite and cable, with plenty of sports packages, so if you're looking for a game, chances are pretty good that they're gonna have it playing. The specials here are also nothing to scoff at, the most interesting of which is their Wednesday Wheel of Specials. Every hour they spin the wheel, and if wherever it stops, that's the deal for that hour. If you're lucky, you could end up with cheap drinks or even a free pizza. Other days of the week have great specials, such as $5 pitchers on Mondays, and all-you-can-eat meals Tuesday through Friday. The menu here is varied and interesting, with food as delicious as that found in many of the top-scale Italian restaurants around town. Their pizza is especially popular, with many calling it the best pizza in Texas, whether you want to make your own, or try one of their specialty pizzas, such as the Whattsamatt-U Special, with 18 of their best ingredients; or Quattro Formaggi, with tomato or alfredo sauce, and four different cheese; or the Buffalo Chicken Pizza, with spicy buffalo chicken, cheddar cheese, red onions, and jalapenos. They also have a number of other Italian favorites, such as Baked Ziti, Ravioli, Tortellini, or Chicken Fettucine Alfredo, as well as more American favorites, such as the Nickanator, a sirloin steaks, smothered in bacon, garlic, onions, mushrooms, jalapenos, and provolone and cheddar cheeses, and fish, chicken or veggie tacos. No matter what time of the day you're hungry, Nick's is ready for you. They even serve breakfast, including fresh coffee, lattes, cappuccinos and mochas, and a full menu of delicious breakfast items. Morning, noon, or night, Nick's Place Italian Sports Bar is the perfect place for a bite. Houston apartment-ites who want delicious Italian food and an excellent sports bar will find exactly what they need, all in one place.
