With over 68 acres of beautiful land with water, athletic fields and a community field, you have no right hanging out in your Minneapolis apartment unless you are sick. Not only is the park a great place to play, it hosts several events during the year that are well attended and fun. These include the May Day Festival, the Fourth of July Celebration, and the Powderhorn Arts Festival for people who live in Minneapolis-St Paul apartments. Whether you prefer group activities with friends from your Powderhorn Park apartments or individual sports, this is the place for you. The team sport fields include soccer, volleyball, baseball and football, plus a skating rink for hockey when the ground's too hard (and cold) to play on. Tennis courts and a walking path can reduce your team interaction, or you can jump on the skating rink when there's no hockey game happening. The large 12 acre pond in the center is friendly to ducks that meander around and in the water. It's fun for residents of Powderhorn Park apartments to feed the ducks leftover bread from your picnic.
