" Since the city of Allen is in what is considered the Humid Subtropical Area, the climate is usually warm to hot in the spring and summer time, with the temperatures reaching into the 90s. While in the fall and winter, it can be rainy, with temperatures lowering within the 40s. "
How do I get around town?
As with most suburbs, it is a good idea to have a car to get around in the city of Allen. With that being stated, they also offer Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) railway and taxi services. They have special offers for senior citizens and the disabled. Within the neighborhoods, there are plenty of beautiful spaces for strolling as well. For air travel, you have two major airports - Dallas-Ft. Worth and Love Field, in which both are no more than 30 miles away.

Highway 75 is the major freeway that will take you to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. State Highway 5 runs beside Highway 75 and into the towns of Richardson and Plano.

Plano, Texas is even closer and this place has many attractions including some of the most recognized companies have their headquarters in this city. You can visit the Historical Downtown venue or take a stroll through the Arbor Hills Nature Preserve, in which you are immersed in an abundance of foliage combined with creeks, streams, bridges and hills. " This whole place is magnificent, there really is no best place to live. Everywhere you look, you will feel content in knowing this place is where you would want to stay as an individual or if you have a family. All the communities, including Custer Meadows, Beacon Hill or Quail Run, have great schools, homes, and areas for outdoor action. They are also close to Dallas-Ft.
