You need to find an upscale restaurant close to your comfy Austin apartment for this once a year celebration. Why not choose Green Pastures? Green Pastures is a Grand Victorian home turned restaurant that caters to any event, whether it's a business event, a private party or elegant wedding. Since opening it's doors 60 years ago, Green Pastures has developed a reputation for true, old world southern hospitality. They offer southern food, and french cuisine such as the Pumpkin Seed Seared Salmon with Butter Poached Prawns and the Seared Duck Breast. Also, they provide a vegetarian entree such as the grilled tofu with spinach. Don't forget dessert! Bananas Foster served tableside, along with other tempting choices such as the Green Pasture's bread pudding. Furthermore, they provide an extensive Sunday brunch that includes dishes like Quiche Lorraine, Smoked Prime Rib with Au Jus, and fresh baked Blueberry Muffins. While waiting for your table, you should wander upstairs to the 1888 bar. Here, you will find fine selections of Wine, Champagne and Spirits. The grounds are covered with beautiful oaks, peacocks strolling on the green and a classic southern white painted gazebo. The interior of Green Pastures is decorated with Louisiana pine, and the five rooms are all decorated with antiques and fine China. Each room has it's own charm and romantic atmosphere, with it's own name. Well, what would be a better choice, staying in your apartment, or coming out to Green Pastures for an amazing, one of a kind birthday!
