The city is in the middle of the region?s state and interstate highway system. Interstate 93 and F.E Everett Turnpike highways link the metropolitan area to Concord, Nashua, Boston and the White Mountains. Other highways in the city are NH 101, state routes 28, 28A and 3A. The traffic can be bad but bearable on Saturday afternoons. However, it is usually normal on most days.
