Whether you're looking for a manly steak to feed your hearty appetite in a fancy restaurant, or wanting to impress a date with a classy and comfortable atmosphere, The Capital Grille is a great meal away from your apartment. Famous around the world, and receiving critical praise from every major newspaper, from the New York Times to the Boston Globe, Capital Grille is not just one of the greatest restaurants in Washington, DC, but perhaps one of the best in the U.S. You'll want to put on your Sunday best when visiting Capital Grille. It's the kind of place where a shirt and tie would be considered dressing down, and a costumer wouldn't be surprised to find tuxedos and fancy dress filling the place. The restaurant is all about class and taste, and from the appetizers to all of the entrees, you'll find only the classiest and most creatively prepared dishes for your enjoyment. To start off the meal, you could delve into succulent lobster and crab cakes or pan fried calamari with hot cherry peppers. As far as the main courses go, steaks are the star item. Try the filet mignon, alone or with cippolini onions and wild mushrooms, or one of their prime sirloins. If you're ready for something a bit larger, then you can try their dry aged, hand sculpted, 20 oz Porterhouse, or the Delmonico, a 22 oz. served in au jus. A great selection of alternatives are offered, from their delicious seafood including broiled lobster, Swordfish Jardiniere - served with asparagus, spinach, corn and roasted tomatoes, as well as grilled seared tuna and salmon; to lamb chops, veal chops, and split breast chicken. On the side, try the luscious lobster mac 'n' cheese. Save room for dessert, for they are just as high class as the first part of the meal. If you're up for something light, then try the fresh berries in vanilla cream, Capital Grille's own Creme Anglais, or Fresh Strawberries Capital Grille, served in vanilla ice cream and their special Grand Marnier and ruby port sauce. There's also a classic creme brulee, chocolate hazelnut cake, flourless chocolate espresso cake, and even the Grille's own homemade ice cream. No matter what you're looking for in a dessert, there's something that sure to please at Capital Grille. Capital Grille is great for a night on the town, and is sure to impressive for any guest.. It's a great way to take a break from cooking in your apartment, or ordering in, and lets you dress up and have a romantic evening with that perfect someone.
