" Are you looking to live in apartments in Frisco, TX? Frisco, TX is a fascinating city located in Denton and Collin counties in Texas State. It is a fast growing city with various job opportunities for different professions. In addition, the schools and recreational facilities make it a perfect place to settle with a family."
What is the history of Frisco?
Most of the early American pioneers arrived in Dallas via wagon trains which was along an old trail known as Shawnee Trail and later named the Preston Road. Due to various activities around this area, a community named Lebanon was established. In the year 1902, a railway line was built which was known as St. Louis-San Francisco Railway. As expected, most people relocated near the train station and the place developed to a town which was named Frisco City in honor of the train station.
How is the weather in Frisco?
Frisco is a city known to experience humid climates. On average, the city receives 39 inches of rain and 230 sunlit days yearly. In the July and August season, the temperatures are 96 degrees while in January they are as low as 33 degrees. The city is most comfortable during spring and autumn seasons.
How do I get around town?
Moving around or to Frisco, TX is not so much a big deal. This is because there are various means you can use to move around. You can either catch a shuttle bus or book a taxi. If you are travelling from far, the Dallas/Ft. worth International Airport (DFW) is a sure way to get there. If you are not travelling a long distance, walking is also an option since the roads are pedestrian friendly.
What is the Frisco commute like?
There are various major highways in this city namely Dallas North Tollway , US 380 which is University way, Sam Rayburn Tollway and SH 289 commonly known as Preston Road. Traffic is not so common in the area unless there are major constructions going on in the area. However, Preston road is known to experience major traffic which may slow you down a lot.
What are the local media outlets?
No city can function without media outlets. Frisco, TX is no exception. The major newspapers include Austin American-Statesman , Houston Chronicle , San Antonio Express-News , Dallas Morning News and Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Apart from newspapers, there are various news stations such as KTXS-TV News (Abilene), KTAB-TV News (Abilene) and Wilson County News among others.
