So you're yearning for a bit of life on the wild side, eh? A scene where the roar of a Harley is more likely than the hum of a Honda, where high entertainment is a dusty old pool table, and where the beer is cold, plentiful and cheap. Locals have long known the secret - the Horseshoe Lounge is Austin's best dive, and we do mean the best. $2 beers are yours for the asking (assuming you have cash in hand), and while the Horseshoe doesn't have liquor, there is a BYOB policy in effect for sizes up to a pint per person. And despite the 'dive' terminology, the majority of the patrons and staff are more likely to treat you like long lost family than an outsider. Old timers, twenty-something hipsters and the previously hinted at bikers co-exist easily at this aptly dubbed lounge, and the only arguments you're likely to hear are over who lays claim to high score bragging rights on their infamous shuffleboard tournaments. Still, everyone can agree on the Willie Nelson classics ushering forth from the jukebox, and for those times you want to go where nobody knows your name this Horseshoe fits snug.
