Houston apartment-ites know there are plenty of options for hearing live music on a weekend night, but so many of them charge an arm and a leg for a drink, and most of the time the crowds are so pretentious and snooty it's not even worth the trip. If you're looking for a live music venue with affordable drink specials and a real lively crowd, who really seem into the music, come down to Einstein's Pub, one of Houston's best and most popular live music huts. Einstein's Pub gets the feel of a bar down pat, whether you want the privacy of your own table, or to mingle with a cozy spot at the bar. The cozy leather barstools and polished wood tables and bar make you feel like a buddy no matter how many times you've come in, and the jukebox is ready to go with all of your favorites. If you want to pass the time with some games, Einstein's has got you covered, with plenty of arcade games, and a large space for darts or pool. The twinkling Christmas lights and hanging beer flags add just the right touch to make this place feel like an authentic neighborhood bar. One thing you wouldn't expect from a place like this is delicious food, but Einstein's delivers just that. To start things off, they have a big variety of appetizers, including taquitos, fried pickles, chili fries, fried mushrooms, even a loaded baked potato, as well as salads with either chicken, shrimp or steak. They have great sandwiches and burgers, including their famous Spicy Bleu Cheeseburger, cooked hot and fresh. For a real treat try their delicious ribeye, shrimp or crispy chicken tenders. Every Thursday night is steak night, where you can get a steak, a loaded baked potato and a salad for only $10, or come in Sunday for their free Hamburger buffet. While the food and atmosphere may be great, what keeps the people coming back is the great live music and drink specials. With some of the longest happy hours in the Houston area, from 11 am to 9 pm all week long, and all day on Sunday, you're never going to be without an affordable drink. They also have a huge array of beers on tap, from domestic favorites such as Bud, Coors and Miller, to some foreign flavors such as Belhaven, Guinness and Blue Moon. They also serve up some great mixed drinks, and the bartenders can make anything you want, and make it taste great. Make sure to drop by Friday and Saturday to see the kickin' live music, featuring some of the best local bands in the Houston area, as well as many touring acts. Live music, fresh drinks and delectable food go hand-in-hand in this little pub, and you're not going to find a better environment for a night out in Katy. Houston apartment-ites will find it worth the trip to drive their way down to Einstein's Pub, one of the greatest live music venue in the Houston area.
