There is an average of 217 sunny days per year in the city and summers can be quite hot with severe humidity. The winters are cold too with an average daily high temperature below 14 degrees.
How do I get around town?
Marietta is only 30 minutes north of the Atlanta Airport. The easiest way to get around and reach your destination is by car or taxi. You can also use public transportation by riding the MARTA (Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority), and then using a CCT bus (Cobb Community Transit) to reach your destination.
What is the Marietta commute like?
Marietta is served by Interstate 75 and the U.S 41 or Cobb Parkway, which run north and south of the city. Both of these routes make commuting to any part of Marietta possible. Additionally, Interstate 85 is only 15 miles to the east. Rush hour traffic typically occurs on weekdays between 7 and 9 in the morning, and 4 to 6 in the evening.
