It is easy to travel Mesa through various State Routes. State Route 202 takes visitors on a slow circle through the city, from the Gila River Indian Community to the Falcon Field Airport and, eventually, to Phoenix. State Route 60 provides easy access to the Mesa Marketplace, the Superstition Springs Center, and, eventually, the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

KPNX is a major television station in Mesa that provides solid information about the weather. Those who enjoy Native American culture will enjoy Northern Mesa, which is close to the Yavapai Nation tribe at Fort McDowell. Those who like to wander outside the city may enjoy living near Wild Horse Pass and the Gila River, which allows them quick access to outlets, western-themed towns, and the Wild Horse Pass casino. Rugged adventurers, however, may enjoy living closer to Apache Junction, giving them easy the the Historic Apache Trail and a good view of the Superstition Mountains.
