Much more than a entertainment venue, this theatre comes with a rich history as vivid as the performances it shows. Built in the 1920's, the Fox was originally as headquarters for Shriners. It was built in the pre-depression days and it is obvious in the lavish decor both inside and out. After changing hands to movie mogul William Fox it went through several near collapses before finally reigning as the king of Atlanta movie houses through the 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's. Apartment-ites today love the many shows and events as well as the interesting and fun tours. Spend the day or a few hours. Get a look at the Fox's Mighty Mo Pipe Organ and learn its history. Check out the unique and one of a kind items in the gift shop. Apartment-ites young and old can enjoy a visit to the Fox Theatre. Nothing is more fun!
