It is so much more than just a shopping center though with night life hot spots and restaurants to take a break from the fantastic shopping. Not many other shopping centers can lay claim to being a top spot in the community for over 70 years. There is a reason for its stardom and that is its unbelievable variety. Just the shopping venues alone span a wide array. If high end shopping is your thing stop in at Chico's, Eddie Bauer, or Pier 1.Get a new sweater at Banana Republic or some stylin' new jeans at The Gap. Apartment-ites also love Rice Village for its selection of diverse bohemian boutiques and shops. Treasures galore line the shelves in these one of a kind stores. The apartment-ite on the go can get a new hairstyle at Atelier or La Village Salon. Get a manicure or a spa treatment at Prestige & Creation or Clique Salon or TX Nails and Facials. Pick up a little something nice for the apartment at Rice Oriental Rugs or Bombay. Want a sure fire location for fun nightlife? This is your place too. With bars like Gingerman, Sherlocks, Gatsby's and more Houston apartment-ites are sure to get down and have a little fun in the Rice Village. You'll find people from all over the city of Houston, not just students from Rice, letting loose and relaxing around here. Rice Village area apartment-ites don't lack for choices in cuisine either. Try El Mason for an eclectic menu of Spanish and Latin dishes with an impeccable wine list. The Black Walnut Café is a humble little sidewalk café perfect for reading the Sunday paper and a tall cool glass of flavored tea. Houston apartment living is more than fun.
